These few paragraphs are to introduce the services of THOMSON Elevator Consultancy Services (TEC Services) to you and to advise you of the wide range of services that we can provide. We are an established specialist consultancy group. We offer our services to property owners, developers, general consultancies and Government agencies.

All members of TEC Services are lift industry trained and our Australian personnel are accredited New South Wales, Australia Lift Examiners. We have received formal training in Government and Private Sector specific design and operation requirements as well as possessing extensive 'hands on' experience on all types of lift and escalator installations.

John Thomson was involved in lift consultancy services with the Australian Federal Government for over 14 years and with Otis Elevator Company previous to that. TEC Services has been in operation since December '95. You and your organisation can now take advantage of this experience through TEC Services at low commercial rates due to our minimal overhead costs and extensive local involvement.

 

TEC Services is a member of the Australian Elevator Association.

  • University of Technology, Sydney +

    Document and supervise the modernisation of 4 gearless lifts and installation of 2 new machine room less lifts. This includes a thorough audit and design investigation.
  • Pembroke 20 Bonner Ave, Manly +

    TECS work on behalf of the Body Corporate to document and supervise the modernisation of the 2 lifts in this building. The building is was fully occupied during the work.
  • Treasury Building, Canberra ACT +

    Document and supervise the modernisation of the 8 lifts in the Treasury Building. This includes a thorough audit and design investigation. The building is to be partially occupied during the work.
  • K17 Building, UNSW +

    Complete refurbishment of the 2 lifts in the building.
  • Frank Whiddon Masonic Homes, NSW +

    Full modernisation of the lift at Primrose Court Retirement complex. The home is fully occupied so programming to reduce inconvenience was critical. Carried out Hazard and risk audits of all lifts on all NSW sites.
  • Clemenger Building, St Leonards +

    Upgrade of the 3 lifts. Building fully occupied during the works.
  • The University of New South Wales +

    TEC Services produced the contract for the lift maintenance at the Kensington and Paddington Campuses. We are involved in monitoring (ie., annual surveys, monthly and quarterly inspections and reports) of the contractor's performance for the term of the contract. There are more than 100 lifts involved of various manufacture, type and age. We have saved the University nearly $300,000 a year in maintenance fees. We also provide advice and assistance in new projects and modernisation of their lifts.
